Exercise and diet tips make Shakira decades younger

Music star Shakira reveals her intense workout routine and strict diet that help her stay injury-free and maintain her health and radiant beauty at the age of 47.

Shakira (world-famous Colombian singer and dancer) has released 12 studio albums, performed 6 tours, 4 of which were worldwide. She was dubbed the “World Cup queen”, when her songs like Hips Don’t Lie, Waka Waka, La la la made waves at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 World Cups.

Recently Shakira’s song Puntería was chosen as the official song of Copa America 2024.

After more than 30 years working in the entertainment industry, Shakira does not seem to age. A photo of her in her 20s doesn’t seem much different from the photo she has now – at the age of 47. Not only does she look youthful, Shakira is always full of energy.

Last year she was voted by Spain’s People magazine as “The most beautiful woman of 2023”. To achieve that, Shakira must make a lot of effort to maintain her form.

Shakira’s disciplined diet

Shakira follows a strict diet, which includes eating small, nutrient-rich meals to maintain energy during the day. To prepare for important performances like the Super Bowl, she temporarily cuts down on sugar and dairy.

Shakira’s trainer Kaiser said: “In general, Shakira follows a very strict diet. Breakfast can be eggs or avocado with olive oil, tomatoes, then smoothies, berries, protein plants, sometimes green vegetables or green powder.

For lunch, she eats fish and fresh vegetables or a colorful salad. Afternoons are always very busy, but Shakira will eat soups such as: artichoke soup, leek and eggplant soup, sometimes with cucumbers with lemon and salt. For dinner, Shakira will eat fish and vegetables.

Exercise 6 days per week, especially dancing


Shakira’s workouts are the perfect combination of strength and cardio sessions. The star’s trainer focuses on “long low-intensity cardio sessions.”

For the past 20 years, world music star Shakira has had a habit of exercising 6 days a week. Especially she loves dancing.

Her classic dance routines, including the skillful hip movements she performed in songs like Hips Don’t Lie, Waka Waka, made Shakira loved around the world.

This result comes from dance exercises, which help Shakira improve her physical strength, flexibility and coordination while immersing herself in the melody of the music. Whether you’re sweating it out in a hip hop gym or immersed in the laid-back rhythms of your living room, dancing speeds up your heart rate and helps your body function better.

Interspersing strength training sessions  with dance sessions, Harvard Medical School reports, can help burn 90 to 252 calories in 30 minutes of dancing. In addition to losing weight, dancing also helps increase intellectual capacity, makes the heart healthier, and improves bone density.

What’s interesting is that every morning after waking up, Shakira doesn’t use her phone until she has completed all the exercises and training program set out.
